Coringa Wildlife  Sanctuary Eturnagaram Sanctuary Gundla brahmeswara sanctuary

Blessed with rich bio-diversity, Andhra Pradesh is a home to a wide variety of wildlife. The dense forests of the state beckon wildlife lovers to experience the wilderness of the National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries of the state. The state is rich in both flora and fauna. Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary

Endowed with a rich Mangrove forest, the sanctuary boasts of interesting wildlife such as crocodile, sea turtle, fishing cat etc. It is located in Coringa developed in the delta region of the Godavari River.


Eturnagaram Sanctuary

Located in the Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh, this sanctuary shelters wildlife such as tiger, black buck, bear and antelope. The vegetation of the sanctuary mainly consists of bamboo and teak. It is one of the oldest sanctuaries of the state.


Gundla Brahmeswara Sanctuary

Situated between the districts of Kurnool and Prakasam, this sanctuary has wildlife such as panther, tiger, chinkara, mouse deer, monitor lizard, marsh crocodile, sambar, nilgai, python, monkey and different types of reptiles. A perennial river passes through the sanctuary.


Indira Gandhi Zoological Park

Visit this wonderful Park and treat your eyes with the sights of wildlife such as tiger, wolves, bear, reptiles, jackals, panther, hyenas, baboons, monkeys etc. Covering an area of 625 acres, the sanctuary is one of the largest zoos located amidst the natural environment of a reserve forest.


Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary

It is situated near Chittoor and wildlife species such as elephant, cheetah, wild boar, sloth bear and porcupine are found here. Two streams namely Kaigal and Kaundinya flow through the sanctuary.


Manjira Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary

Located in the Medak district of the state, this sanctuary has nine small islands housing a variety of colorful birds. Both resident and migratory birds are found here. Crocodiles and a variety of fishes also inhabit the sanctuary.


Some of the other wildlife destinations in the state are Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, Kolleru Lake Bird Sanctuary, Mrigavani National Park, Nehru Zoological Park and Alisagar Deer Park.
