History of Vasco-da-Gama

Vasco-da-Gama came under the Portuguese influence in 1543 AD. Soon, it developed into one of the busiest port of the Western India. About the City

Vasco-da-Gama, popularly known as Vasco, is perched on the western tip of the Mormugao Peninsula at the origin point of the River Zuari. Travel the well laid out town of Vasco that is laid in a straight along the parallel roads and connected by small lanes. The city is an important shipping center and one of the busiest ports of Western India. The Port Moramugao in Vasco-da-Gama is also one of the few natural harbors in India.
