The rajputana Sheraton at Jaipur and the Jaypee Palace were excellent but The Park in Delhi, wasn't in the same level, the public spaces like corridor were dirty.

History
Inspired by the charm of Palace on Wheels luxury train, the Royal Orient was developed by the combined efforts of the Tourist Corporation of Gujarat Limited and the Indian railways in the time period between 1994 to 1995.
Schedule
The Royal Orient Train remains functional from September to April. And it begins its journey from Delhi Cantonment on every Wednesday of the week. For maintenance reasons the train remains non-operational during the rest of the months.
Facilities and Services
The Royal Orient train has 13 wonderful coaches. All the coaches are build on the themes taken from the cultural heritage of the regions the train covers. Done to perfection these coaches are fitted with five-star facilities. The coaches are named after the erstwhile royal kingdoms. Each saloon has a kitchenette and four cabins with a well-equipped attached bathroom with hot and cold running water. Each cabin is majestically decorated to give the royal feel to the guests. Each cabin has music channel speakers so that one can listen to the music of one's choice. An attendant is always available to take care of your needs.
The lounge is equipped with color TV and CD player so that passengers can enjoy their leisure. Sitting in the lounge guests can treat their senses to the mesmerizing views of countryside during the daytime. There is a well stocked library on the train which is stocked with a variety of books on diverse subjects, magazines and newspapers.
Dining
The two restaurants on board serve mouth-watering cuisines starting from traditional Indian cuisine to Rajasthani, Gujarati, Chinese and Continental ones. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are served on board. The bar on the train is well stocked with a variety of alcoholic drinks. It remains open 24x7.
Cultural Attractions
To keep the guests entertained several cultural programs are organized on board and on arriving at the destinations. The music and dance performances are truly uplifting and entertaining.
