Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary
This is another popular wildlife reserve of South India situated at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. This national park sprawled over an area of 777 sq. km in the Western Ghats region. The location gifted the national park with diverse collection of flora, fauna and avifauna species. The dense evergreen and savannah grasslands surroundings nurture some of the exotic and endangered wildlife species. Based on the census this wildlife reserve cradles 900 elephants, 40 tigers, 280 gaurs, 20 leopards, 180 birds species and number of other wild animals like sloth bear, nilgiri langur, porcupine, lion-tailed macaque. The boat safari is the most thrilling way to explore and experience the diversity of this wildlife reserve. This is the only wildlife park in India where tourists can enjoy the exhilarating fun of boat safari.
