The most exclusive feature of The Orchid is its status of Ecotel in real sense. For that purpose, many steps have been taken to maintain the status. The in-house paper and plastic shopping bags have been replaced by cloth bags; Newspapers and laundry are delivered in cane baskets; All closet hangers are made from pressed particleboards while the pens and pencils are made out of recycled cardboard, reprocessed plastic and scrap wood; All stationary is either handmade or made from recycled paper; Guests are provided with handmade, rubber-soled reed slippers for use in the room; Use of healthy potted plants instead of cut flowers. Each room has a 'recycle bin' in addition to the waste bin for the guests to deposit the recyclable material for reuse.

Boulevard is a 24-hour coffee shop with a variety of Indian and International cuisine. Merlin's Moody takes you to Karaoke evenings. Mostly Grills is a fusion barbecue restaurant serving new range of grilled delicacies. Vindhyas has in store diverse Cuisine's from the nine peninsular Indian States. Gourmet serves oven-baked breads. The exotic Tuna sandwiches and flavoured iced teas are also round the corner. Coffee bar with the varieties of coffee serves coffee, brewed and blended using fresh coffee beans.
