The rajputana Sheraton at Jaipur and the Jaypee Palace were excellent but The Park in Delhi, wasn't in the same level, the public spaces like corridor were dirty.
Excellent experience guided and suggested by an excellent tour conductor. Thanks a lot.
Hotel Umaid Bhavan Jodhpur
Maharaja Umaid Singh's Palace popularly known as Umaid Bhavan at Jodhpur is one of the largest and grandest private residences in the world. Built between 1929 and 1942, the Umaid Bhawan Palace is a splendid example of the Indo-Colonial and the art-deco style of the thirties. Now a part of Welcomgroup, the Palace recreates for you a unique experience of princely lifestyle. The hotel is ideal for the regal touch and traditional get up combined perfectly in amenities and hospitality as well.
The Umaid Bhavan in Jodhpur is 3 kms from Airport, 5 kms from Railway Station and 3 kms from Bus Stand.
There is a wide choice of 94 rooms and suites. The standard rooms are furnished with the original Palace furniture. The Regal Suites are the rooms, which were originally used by Maharaja Umaid Singh and his Maharani. In the foyer leading to these suites is a musical fountain made entirely of English Crystal. The centuries old norm of gracious hospitality is being followed till date, which is a unique hallmark of the Umaid Bhavan Palace.
Marwar Hall, open for lunch and dinner has a wide choice of Indian, Continental and Rajasthani specialties. As an alternative, there is Risala, the a la carte restaurant. And as twilight falls and peacocks stalk across the back lawns it is time for a drink at the Trophy Bar.There are the specially arranged theme parties with the folk music of the desert on the ramparts of the Mehrangarh Fort or the 'flaming torch' dinner on the illuminated lawns of the Palace, especially for large groups. In winter, theme dinners are organized in the Dal Badal, 100-year old intricately designed hunting tent, which isd a part of the Palace.
Conference and Banquet Facilities
The two fabulous banquet rooms namely the Marwar Hall and the Rathore Durbar offer the venues for the business conferences and seminars.
When in a mood to relax, play a vigorous game or two of squash, tennis or badminton. Warm up at the well-equipped Health Club, and after a swim in The Zodiac, the underground swimming pool, lie down on the sun-drenched lawns. You can also try your hand at billiards or croquet. Visit the private museum with its collection of antiques or ramble in the immense 15-acre verdant gardens.
