The Murmansk region is rich in natural resources with over 700 minerals, of which 100 were first discovered in this region. The Oblast has 200 deposits of 40 types of minerals, including: apatite-nepheline ore, titanium, rare metals, copper-nickel ores, feldspar, mica, oil and gas.
