Great experience

We had a wonderful 2 weeks family trip to India ( Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and Kerala).

We had already booked by ourselves the accommodation and the internal flights but we contacted Caper travel to be helped with the transfers and to have tourist guides when in the North of India. Our contact was Alok. He has been always reactive and helpful. At the arrival in Delhi and in every city we were received by a local agent and then we had a driver and a guide. The cars were comfortable new and with air conditioning. The tourist guides were fine. The best one we had was Ashish jaïn in Delhi. In Udaipur the local agent Banhu has also been very attentive and helpful. We always knew who to call if we would have a problem… but we did not have any problem. The assistance we got was very good. Thanks a lot Alok and all the Caper travel team!!

Absolutely Amazing Tour with Caper!

We did the golden triangle with caper travels and it was fantastic! I was so worried about them being a legit company but from the moment they picked us from the airport we knew we were in good hands.Mr Kapil Joshi picked us up from the airport and he was really amazing. He explained everything to us about the tour and was always reachable when we needed something. His friendly and caring nature just made us feel so welcome and safe. The whole booking process with Mr Alok Chatterjee was just painless. He was so accommodating, friendly and helpful and helped us with all our requests. I have not met a more professional and easy person to deal with in the whole of India. He is truly an asset to the company ( Thank you Mr Alok for everything!)

Our driver Girish Bhai was just phenomenal. He was such a careful driver and so knowledgeable about India and was so open to share his knowledge. We felt safe with him and he was also so accommodating and willing to go the extra mile for us. He helped us and guided us through our whole trip. He was truly a star!

Flawless and Unforgettable Solo Trip to India with Caper Travel

I was traveling solo as a woman to a country I have never been before. Alok from Caper Travel has been very attentive to details since the begining of designing my trip. I initially reached out to them for a golden triangle luxury train trip and ended up booking almost 10 days air+road trip including even more cities (Mumbai-Udaipur-Jaipur-Agra-FatehpurSikri-Delhi) with them and they have tirelessly met all of my requirements (and I know I am not an easy to satisfy and very demanding customer) From tour guides to drivers everybody was very kind, respectful and attentive. Alok answered all of my questions almost realtime, since I was traveling alone as a women, I had many questions but this amazing team made me feel safe. They went above and beyond in moments like when it was raining and I didnt have an umbrella with me and mentioned over the phone (not requesting anything) and my guide met me on site with an umbrella in his hand They were also always flexible with changes due to weather conditions or adding more sigthseeing itineraries to my day trips. I can absolutely recommended everyone them to trust any of their trip plans with them!!! I can not thank them enough for making my India trip unforgettable.

Excellent service at your beck and call

Caper travels met all our needs. My brother in law fell ill and they sent a representative to Jaipur to take him to a hospital, made appointments to see a specialist and get bloods done in a matter of a phone call. In a few hours he was sorted.
We had extra bags and left it in Delhi. On our return they collected the bags and met us at the airport. Overall impeccable service.

Tour of Rajashtan and exotic tour of Kerala

This was our first time in India but surely not our last. Caper travel were fantastic from the first contact via email with Mumtaz. Mumtaz was very helpful with the preparation and kept us well informed about every detail. We were treated like celebrities from the moment we arrived, when we were met by Kapil and our first driver Vikram. We had a tour of Rajashtan and Agra with Vikram, before flying south to Kerala. Our second driver in Kerala was Shibu, who was brilliant. Everything was well organised and all our hotels were wonderful. All the guides we had in each area were knowledgeable and gave excellent insights into the places we visited. We finished our trip with a 5 night stay in Kovalam at a beach resort. All in all I would highly recommend booking with Caper travel

Fabulous experience

A huge thank you for all the services rendered on our holiday ?Golden Triangle Tour? in North India during December 2015. All the excursions during the trip were well organised and we enjoyed every minute of the tour. We had a hassle-free and memorable trip.

We had a car with excellent driver and guide, all of whom exhibited the highest professionalism, safety and knowledge. Mr. Anil Surana our guide was brilliant and flexible if we had something in particular we wanted to stay longer for. He was helpful and also willing to show us additional and alternative points of interest.
Our driver Mr. Tarsem Rana was a very patient driver and skillful in the roads, animals, buses, people etc. that you encounter on Indian roads.

The hotels chosen were all of a good quality but we have to single out Shahpura House in Jaipur as the best hotel of our trip.

The entire trip was extremely well executed and organized. We are already looking forward to our next trip which will be through Caper Travel !!!

We will definitely be back and would like to Mr. Anil Surana reserve as guide and Mr. Tarsem Rana as a driver.

Special thanks to the driver Mr. Prasanth and the Agra guide Akash. Both did a good job. We were worried initially since 2 ladies travelling alone. But driver did a good job, his driving was superb and took care of us.

The guide in Agra, Mr.Akash he is really recommendable person. He is a knowledgeable person. He gave lot of information about taj mahal and Agra fort. Jaipur guide is not that recommendable.

Hotel recommended in Agra and Jaipur also superb. We felt very comfortable. Overall we are satisfied with the service. Keep up the good work and don?t lose the momentum.

Dear Mumtaz,
Jeff and I would like to thank you so much for organising our holiday. Everything went so smoothly and we would like to thank all the staff at Caper travel who met us at airports and Mani who was our driver.

We very much enjoyed Cochin and would have liked to have spent another day exploring the city.

Our stay at Windermere was excellent and Dr Simon John was most helpful when Jeff was unwell.

We also had a wonderful time staying at Lake Palace in Periyar - a great place to view the wildlife.

Kovolam was also a wonderful place to stay and we would have like to have stayed another day to explore the surrounding area. I enjoyed a  Yoga session with a local yoga teacher and would have loved to have time for another lesson. The sea , although a bit rough was great fun to swim in. The staff seemed unsure of themselves at times but tried very hard.

The tree house was as described but the staff at the resort were disinterested and the food was not very good.

The transfer to the Maldives went well and once settled on Sun Island we made the most of our stay. We found it very expensive for any food or drink or activities but were happy to make the most of the snorkelling and windsurfing. Having the bikes to get around with was helpful.

I hope these comments are helpful and once again we would like to thank all concerned for an excellent holiday.

Hi Mumtaz,
Thank you for planning such an interesting holiday for us.
We found all the Hotels (ITC Sheratons / Radissons to a standard which was very, very good - also the food was to a high standard.
The guides were all very knowledgeable on Indian history, religion, local history and guided us round the important temples.

I liked the choice we made to upgrade to a Innova car in all our journeys in India and Nepal. We were very comfortable, with good views from the back seats to front and sides and of course air conditioning. Also, plenty of room to get our cases in the back.
All the drivers were careful in cities, towns and open roads and we felt safe (but we were not used to the practise of the use of the horn in India / Nepal!!!).
Although we did not see a Tiger at Bandhavgargh we did see 7No Wild Dogs (according to the guide was rarer than seeing a Tiger). Hotel King?s Lodge was a very good choice in our itinerary and maybe, I?ll come back to get a photo of a tiger at a later date / year.

The journey to Umaria from Delhi, 20hrs on a sleeper was pretty awful to say the least. I sat up through the night with the cases in front of me watching each station go by, but it was an Indian experience - not to be done again!!!
I know the reason for the change of itinerary ?DEWALI? but the original planned route to Juipur and Agra would have been better for us with less travelling.
We enjoyed the ?DEWALI? experience very much - seeing the houses freshly painted, new cars, tractors, mopeds etc and the many fireworks and all the lighting effects on the buildings.
The down side to India is the amount of litter / rubbish beside roads and railway tracks - we did try a walk in Delhi on an street but felt really unsafe. Being foreigners, makes us stand out in the crowd and attract attention.

The places and events which stand out most from our itinerary: Taj Mahal; Lotus Temple, Delhi; Bandhavgargh Tiger Reserve; Death ceremonies, Ganges and more so at Kathmandu; The Himalayas at Pokhara and all the Temples we visited.
Our guides took us to many workshops in the places we visited - bought cashmere scarfs and gifts to take home.
Tipping was a difficult subject for us - how much to give? The turnover of guides, drivers, porters was a lot in our itinerary and it did present us with a problem of having sufficient local currency. I think if I counted up the amount we gave away - it was a considerable sum of money.
The driver in Nepal was exceptional to say the least and he got well rewarded for his effort to us.
Yes, a very, very interesting holiday in India and Nepal.

Caper Travel - an excellent choice for a custom trip through India

I took a group of 14 people to India in February 2014. In early 2013, we had booked a 15 day package tour of the ?Golden Triangle? of Northern India: Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi, as well as Kathmandu, Nepal.?  ? After making those plans, twelve of us decided that we wanted to extend our travels, focusing on Rajasthan.?  I got busy in March 2013 researching the possibilities.?  After a thorough search, I decided it would be best to work with a company based in India to design a custom trip. I selected Caper Travel because it has a good reputation, has received many awards from the Ministry of Tourism of India and is part of the major international travel associations. My research paid off - Caper Travel was an excellent choice.

I worked with Alok Chatterjee, Sr. Sales Manager. We communicated by email, working together from start to finish. I started planning and designing this tour in March 2013 and for many months we corresponded constantly until we settled on a plan. Of course, I had lots of questions and he always had excellent answers and great suggestions.

Our nine-day trip began with a flight from Delhi to Udaipur. In Udaipur we met Santosh, our guide throughout the tour. He was very professional, knowledgeable, interesting and caring; he made our trip truly unforgettable.?  We felt that we were in good hands with a guide who knew the history, the culture and the people of the region.

The accommodations were first class and each had an interesting history: in Udaipur, the Fatehgarh Palace; in Jodhpur, the Ajit Bhawan; in Pushkar, the Pushkar Palace; in Ranthambhore (the national tiger preserve) Nahargarh Fort; and in Jaipur, the Raj Palace.

I also was very pleased with the 16 passenger air-conditioned bus. It was clean and comfortable. Some of the drives were long and rigorous but the scenery was entertaining and unique. The roads for the most part were two lanes, often very narrow, and some areas were unpaved. Our driver was very experienced and we constantly applauded his driving skills. The driver?s assistant was delightful and helpful ? a ready smile and a bottle of water.?  And, of course, Santosh found interesting sights along the way, for example stopping along the way in Ranakpur to see the marvelously carved Jain Temples and a detour by jeep to a Bishnoi village.
Other highlights included a boat ride on Lake Pichola, the Jag Mandir, the City Palace and the Sahelion ki Bari gardens in Udaipur; the Mehrangarth Fort in Jodhpur; and the holy sites of Pushkar.?  Perhaps most memorable was the four-passenger jeep safaris arranged for us in the National Park in Ranthambhore to observe the amazing wildlife in this preserve ? and some of us were even lucky enough to see a tiger.
The climax of this custom tour occurred in Jaipur, our last stop. We arrived in time for the Holi Festival, the Festival of Color.?  Santosh, our guide had arranged for us to participate in the morning celebration. It was fun and fantastic. It made for a very festive, colorful last day in India??.one we will never forget.

As much as we enjoyed our stay and tour in India, we were a little bit disappointed with the last stop : Varanasi. May be because we met such wonderful people all the way, or maybe we had higher expectation for the place ( As a Holy city)!!

It?s name ist Maharaja Haveli and would be an much more individual place for an Indian overnight than an anonymous high-rise building. The address is: Maharaja Haveli, 543, Bordi Kothi, Gangapole, Jaipur. Perhaps this could be a new nice place in capers? travel catalogue?
I?m still (and I think will be for a long while?) busy in arranging our thousands of impressions. It was a great journey and we will think and talk about it for a long, long while?

My wife and I just returned from an intensive trip to India. The trip plan was very tight to start with, and the events in Mumbai on the 26th added an extra complexity as we needed to make some real time adjustments.

I hope you are well. I am just writing to let you know that we arrived in England on Sunday from our tripe although we were delayed in Delhi for 9 hours due to the fog, anyway we are home now and knee high in snow, so the weather is quiet different here.

We have just returned from a 3 week holiday in India. Whilst we were there we booked a 7 day golden triangle tour with yourselves. The booking was made for 5 people under the name of Mr Gurradish Sanghera, commencing 08.02.2010.
I would just like to say what a fantastic holiday we had. We saw a lot more with your very patient and polite and knowledgeable tour guides, travelled in great comfort in the tourist coach and stayed at some wonderful hotels in your country.
Could you please pass on our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all involved from the driver to tour guides to the reps who met us at the hotels in Delhi. Agra and Jaipur in making this a very memorable holiday. Everybody we came across was most curtious.
