Day 01 Arrive Leh
Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport (one of the most scenic flights in the world). Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Rest and acclimatize, followed by welcome tea/coffee at the hotel.
Evening visit to Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 Leh to Sham Valley (75 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive downstream along the Indus River on the Leh-Kargil Highway. Enroute, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Magnetic Hill. Continue to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers and visit Likir Monastery, featuring a colossal gilded image of Maitreya Buddha.
Proceed to Uletokpo or Tingmosgang, visiting Ridzong Monastery along the way. Check-in at camp/hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 Sham Valley to Leh via Lamayuru (180 km / 5–6 hrs)
Drive to the 11th-century Lamayuru Monastery and explore the unique Moon Landscapes. On the return to Leh, visit Alchi Gompa, a celebrated monastery complex dating back to the 11th century, and Basgo ruins, the 15th-century capital of Ladakh. Overnight stay at Leh hotel.
Day 04 Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (18,390 ft / 120 km / 4–5 hrs)
Drive to Nubra Valley over Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy stunning views of the Indus Valley, Zanskar range, and Saser massif. Nubra Valley, also known as Ldumra, is situated between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges at an average altitude of 10,000 ft.
Check-in at camp/hotel in Hunder. Evening walk in local villages and optional visit to a Ladakhi home. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05 Nubra Valley – Leh (120 km / 4–5 hrs)
After breakfast, ride a double-humped Bactrian camel amidst the sand dunes of Hunder. Stop at Diskit Monastery, the 515-year-old Buddhist monastery overlooking the valley. Return to Leh via Khardung La and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 06 Leh to Pangong Lake (140 km / 4–5 hrs one way)
Drive to Pangong Lake via Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Chang La Pass (5,486 m). Enroute stop at Tangtse for refreshments. Pangong Lake, 5–6 km wide and 133 km long, straddles the India-China border. Check-in at camp near the lake. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07 Pangong Lake – Leh (140 km / 6 hrs)
Morning at leisure to enjoy the lake. Drive back to Leh visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of the Drukpa Kagyu Order. Check-in at hotel and evening free for market exploration and souvenir shopping. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 08 Depart Leh (Fly Out)
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Domestic Airport for your onward journey. Tour concludes.
