The Adi Pushkaralu will take place from 26 June to 7 July 2027, marking a 12-day period of pilgrimage and religious observance along the Godavari.
Day 01Arrive Hyderabad
Welcome to India
Highlights of the Day:
Arrive in Hyderabad, where you will be met and assisted by our representative and transferred privately to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax after your international journey.

Day 02Hyderabad – Bhadrachalam
Into the Godavari Country
Approx. 315 km | 7–8 hours
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, drive towards Bhadrachalam, an important pilgrimage centre situated on the banks of the Godavari
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and later visit the Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy Temple, traditionally associated with Lord Rama.
In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk along the Godavari riverfront.

Accommodation in Bhadrachalam is more limited than in the major cities, so we recommend selecting the best available property rather than guaranteeing a conventional international 4/5* standard.
Day 03Bhadrachalam – Rajamahendravaram
Following the Sacred Godavari
Approx. 190 km | 5–6 hours
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, drive towards Rajamahendravaram, one of the principal pilgrimage centres on the Godavari.
After check-in, relax at the hotel.
Later, take a private orientation drive along the Godavari riverfront and see some of the principal ghats from outside, subject to local festival arrangements.

Day 04Rajamahendravaram
THE GODAVARI PUSHKARALU EXPERIENCE
Highlights of the Day:
Today is dedicated to experiencing the spiritual heart of the Godavari Pushkaralu.
Rise early and proceed to the designated Pushkaralu ghat for the traditional Pushkara Snanam, subject to the official access arrangements in force on the day.
The East Godavari district officially lists several Rajamahendravaram ghats, including Pushkar Ghat, Kotilingala Revu, Saraswati Ghat and Gowthami Ghat.
For guests wishing to undertake a puja, we can arrange assistance with a local priest, subject to availability and the festival authorities' regulations.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and relaxation.
In the evening, enjoy the atmosphere along the Godavari riverfront and, where permitted, witness the traditional Godavari Harathi/Aarti.

Day 05Temple Trail
Draksharamam – Bikkavolu – Gollala Mamidada
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, set out on a private temple excursion.
Visit Draksharamam Bhimeswara Temple, one of the important Shaiva pilgrimage centres of Andhra Pradesh.
Continue to Bikkavolu and Gollala Mamidada, visiting their historic temples and experiencing the architectural and religious traditions of the Godavari region.
Return to Rajamahendravaram in the evening.

Day 06Rajamahendravaram – Konaseema
Through the Emerald Godavari Delta
Approx. 100–120 km | 3–4 hours including sightseeing
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, drive into Konaseema, one of the most picturesque landscapes of Andhra Pradesh.
The journey takes you through coconut plantations, waterways, paddy fields and traditional villages.
En route, visit Ryali, known for the Jagan Mohini Kesava Swamy Temple.
Continue to your hotel/resort in the Konaseema region.
Overnight: Konaseema / Amalapuram
Day 07Konaseema – Antarvedi
Where the Godavari Meets the Bay of Bengal
Approx. 80–100 km each way
Highlights of the Day:
Today visit Antarvedi, an important pilgrimage destination located near the confluence of the Godavari and Bay of Bengal.
Visit the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and experience this distinctive meeting point of river and sea.
Return to your hotel in Konaseema.
Overnight: Konaseema / Amalapuram
Day 08Konaseema – Rajamahendravaram
Life Along the Godavari
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, drive back towards Rajamahendravaram.
Subject to local safety regulations and festival operations, we can include a short private boat experience through the Godavari delta.
After arriving in Rajamahendravaram, check in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.
Later, visit the riverfront area and Gowthami Ghat, subject to crowd-management restrictions.

Day 09Godavari River & Papikondalu
A Journey Through the Godavari Hills
Highlights of the Day:
Subject to the official operating schedule during Pushkaralu, enjoy a Godavari river experience towards Papikondalu.
The river winds through dramatic green hills, creating one of the most scenic landscapes of the region.
Return to Rajamahendravaram in the evening.
Overnight: Rajamahendravaram
Important: River-cruise operations during Pushkaralu will be reconfirmed closer to the travel date because festival authorities may impose temporary restrictions.
Day 10Rajamahendravaram – Visakhapatnam
From the Godavari to the Bay of Bengal
Approx. 200 km | 5 hours
Highlights of the Day:
After breakfast, drive towards Visakhapatnam.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
Later, enjoy a leisurely drive along the coast and take in the views of the Bay of Bengal.

Highlights of the Day:
Depending on your flight schedule, visit Simhachalam Temple, one of the region's important pilgrimage sites.

One important correction to the earlier version: I would keep Rajamahendravaram as the main base for the Pushkaralu portion, rather than moving hotels too frequently. During a major pilgrimage festival, this gives the guest greater comfort and makes it easier to manage early-morning ghat visits and crowd-related changes.
The official district ghat list currently provides a useful basis for planning, but it does not by itself confirm which ghat a particular guest will be permitted to use in 2027; that should be confirmed closer to arrival.
