Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Saturday - Delhi
Board the Deccan Odyssey at the Delhi railway station and begin your enchanting journey, heading towards Agra.
Day 2 Sunday - Agra
Today the Deccan Odyssey arrives at the Mughal citadel of Agra.
- 0830 Hrs: Deboard Deccan Odyssey and drive to Agra from Tundla Railway Station
- 0930 Hrs: You will visit the Taj Mahal.
- 1300 Hrs: Lunch at City Hotel.
- 1400 Hrs: Proceed for Agra Fort another outstanding example of Mughal architecture
- 1630 Hrs: Visit Kalakriti to witness the art of Inlay Work which can be found in Mughal structures. The Technique is known as Pietra Dura which have beautified Taj Mahal.
- 1900 Hrs: Return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner.

Day 3 Monday - Sawai Madhopur
Arrive at Sawai Madhopur and spend a day in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.
- 0830 Hrs: Proceed for Ranthambore Village visit
- 1230 Hrs: Return to Deccan Odyssey for Lunch
- 1430 Hrs: Disembark to head for the afternoon safari.
- 1715 Hrs: Return to the Deccan Odyssey for drinks & dinner.

Day 4 Tuesday - Jaipur
Arrive at the historic capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, often called the Pink City.
- 0830 Hrs: Disembark from Station ( Welcome at the station)
- 0900 Hrs: Leave station for Amber Fort
- 1030 Hrs: Visit of Amber Fort
- 1300 Hrs: Lunch at City Hotel
- 1430 Hrs: Visit City Palace and drive past Hawa Mahal.
- 1830 Hrs: Return to Deccan Odyssey

Day 5 Wednesday - Udaipur
Arrive at the princely city of Udaipur.
- 1000 Hrs: Visit the famous City Palace followed by a boat cruise at Lake Pichola.
- 1330 Hrs: Lunch at City Hotel.
- 1430 Hrs: Proceed on a walking tour through the Old City of Udaipur and explore the Old City’s lively, busy and old-fashioned colourful bazar which still retains local charm and feel.
- 1800 Hrs: Thereafter you return to the Deccan Odyssey

Day 6 Thursday - Vishwamitri (Vadodara)
Today you arrive at the Royal city of the Gaekwads, Vadodara.
- 0830 Hrs: After breakfast, you will disembark and proceed to visit Champaner-
- 1000 Hrs: Reach Champaner and visit Pavagadh Archaeological Park
- 1200 Hrs: Leave for Vadodara
- 1330 Hrs: Reach Deccan Odyssey and Lunch on Board
- 1530 Hrs: Visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum
- 1730 Hrs: Enjoy Snacks & tea at the resplendent Laxmi Vilas Palace
- 1900 Hrs: Return to the Deccan Odyssey.

Day 7 Friday - Aurangabad (Ellora caves)
Proceed to visit Ellora Caves, a World Heritage site.
- 1230 Hrs: Lunch on Board
- 1330 Hrs: Disembark from the Train
- 1500 Hrs: Leave for Ellora Caves
- 1800 Hrs: Reach Deccan Odyssey and Board the train

Day 8 Saturday - Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai, where your journey comes to an end.

- All prices are in US Dollars
- The above costs are per cabin per Journey
- Double Bed Supplement - $500 (Taxes Extra)
- As the train runs on the tracks of the Indian Railways, the itineraries are subject to change in case of any changes in the routing etc.
- Prices are subject to change in case of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
- Children below 5 years of age shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 Adults and 2 children (One child up to 5 years of age and second child up to 12 years of age).
- GST of 5.00% (subject to change as per Govt. directives) is additional and will be charged extra on the invoiced amount.
- We need minimum occupancy to operate all listed journeys, in event if we do not manage minimum occupancy we reserve the right to cancel the journey at least with 30 days prior intimation.
- As Train runs on tracks so you may experience sounds of passing trains and some shaking during the journey. This is a normal feature countrywide with trains in India.
- The Entire Deccan Odyssey Train is non Smoking. For any particular requirement, kindly contact your Valet.
Child Policy:
Deccan Odyssey does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavor to maintain.
- One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
- In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.
- Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
- All applicable taxes will be charged extra.
Payment:
- 20% of the ticket value:at the time of booking
- 80% of the ticket value:45 days before the departure date
Cancellation
- Any cancellation must be advised immediately by email (rail@therailjourneys.com) and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division.
- Retention of 10% of ticket value on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 - 45 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 - 30 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date
