Taragarh Palace Taragarh

Encompassing an area of 15 acres and the forested estate surrounded by tea gardens in the Kangra valley, The Taragarh Palace is one of the most scenic and unexplored areas of Himachal Pradesh. Formerly known as Alhilal (land of the crescent moon), the palace was built in the early 1930s as a summer resort. Taragarh Palace is at the foot of the Dhauladhar Mountains at a height of 1000 metres with a magnificent view of snow-capped peaks. Now it is run as a heritage hotel in Taragarh.

Location

The Hotel Taragarh Palace is located at Kangra Valley in Taragarh. The Jammu Airport is 250 kms from the hotel with the Chandigarh Airport at 286 kms and Palampur's Railway Station at 11 kms.

The Taragarh Palace has 15 comfortably furnished bedrooms and suites; most of them with attached bathrooms with original European fittings. The hotel attains elegance through the old colonial furniture, teak paneled dining hall and wide verandahs.
