The 300 year old ancestral home of Justice Sir Jai Lal, a friend of Lord Hardinge and an intimate of the Maharajas of Patiala and Kapurthala has been restored alike its original splendor. The property is famous as 'Judge Sahib ki Kothi', and hence its name - The Judge's Court. As the Judge's Court is presently run by this family, you witness a rare kind of intimate hospitality not to be found anywhere.

Location

The Hotel Judges Court, Kangra is located near the ornamental village tank of Pragpur from where the Gagel Airport (Kangal) is 45 kms, Hoshiarpur is 60 kms, Pathankot is 110 kms, Una is 60 kms and Jalandhar is 95 kms.

Stay

The Judge's Court has 7 rooms in the building, 1 twin sharing set in an annexe in addition to the suite in the ancestral courtyard. The private suite has a kitchen, sitting room, dressing room and study with an open terrace overlooking the Dhauladhar mountain ranges. The rooms are named as per their themes such as the 'Dhauladhar', Kipling, 'Hardinge', 'Kangra' and are aesthetically decorated to make your stay comfortable.

The food served at the Judges Court is specially prepared from the ingredients of its own orchard, which consists of mango, lychee, grape, plum, parsimon, citrus and exotic trees like camphor, clove and cardamom. Milk is obtained from The Judge's Court dairy on the hotel's grounds. Water is exclusively collected from an ancestral mountain spring making it close to nature.

You can while away your exhaustion by paying visits to weavers, silversmiths, village market; dong cycling, nature walks, trekking, nature study, bird watching; sightseeing, fishing, picnics, visits to historical sites & local monuments and a by having a bracy dip in the pool under mango trees.
