The origin of Kenilworth hotel goes back to 1911. The transformation of The Kenilworth began in 1968 when Mr. M. S. Bharat, took over the lodge leading to the emergence of The Kenilworth as one of the most popular group of hotels in India. Maikhana was another novel innovation of The Kenilworth. The first open air restaurant utilizing the spacious grounds was opened soaring the Kenilworth high enough on the popularity charts. A major renovation was undertaken in 1982. The old building was demolished and acentrally air-conditioned 100-room hotel with the Crystal Coffee Shop, two Banquet Halls and a spacious lobby came into existence.
