  • The rajputana Sheraton at Jaipur and the Jaypee Palace were excellent but The Park in Delhi, wasn't in the same level, the public spaces like corridor were dirty.
Excellent experience guided and suggested by an excellent tour conductor. Thanks a lot.

Travel to Panji Panji Panji

History of Panaji

Panaji, the capital of Goa, is settled on the left bank of the River Mandovi. Panaji or Panjim was the name given by the Portuguese, which literally means 'The Land That Never Gets Flooded'. Travel to the city of Panaji, which was originally a small village and comprised of the lush growth of coconut groves, blue laguna, sandy beaches, small streams and beautiful backwaters. The status of Panaji was elevated to that of a city and renamed 'Nova Goa' after the collapse of Old Goa in the 19th century AD.

About the City

Panaji is planned in the grid pattern with the Church Square or Largo de Igreja as its central point. On your travel to Panaji, you will come across the houses built in Latin style with stucco walls and red roofs. The roads are intersected at the well-laid garden or statue and the streets are lined with trees.

Tourist Attractions in Panaji

Travel to Panaji to visit the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Idalcao or Adilshahi Palace, Raj Niwas, Braganza Institute and Library, Jama Masjid, Mahalaxmi Temple, St Thome Quarter and Sebastian Chapel. The Church of the Immaculate Conception is built in Portuguese Baroque style and inspired by church at Reis Magos. The church houses the image of the Lady of Fatima in one of its altars. The Adilshahi Palace constructed by Adil Shah was renovated by Jeronimo de Azevedo, Portuguese Viceroy, and renamed it as The Idalcao. The Raj Niwas, a mud and laterite building with well-kept gardens, lies on the western corner of Cabo. Travel to Panaji to see these heritage buildings in Panaji.
