Kali Mandir of Siliguri is an important temple for Hindus which is situated near Sevoke. This temple is said to be the abode of living Goddess Kali. The temple is visited not only by locales but by pilgrims from across the country. Scores of devotes come here to seek heavenly blessings from the Goddess of Power. The Kali Mandir is visited by newly wedded couples seeking the blessing of the Goddess Kali for a happy married life. Few kilometers away from this temple is the Hare Krishna Mandir which was built by ISCKON and dedicated to lord Krishna. According to legend it is said that it is the place where Lord Krishna had gone into hiding in the jungles of Baikunthapur with his wife Rukmini.


Coronation Bridge is another most popular attraction of this place. The Coronation Bridge was built by Britishers in 1930 and connects West Bengal to North East India. Because of its superb construction this bridge is still considered among the best architectural wonders in the country. Through this bridge one can get the breathtaking views of River Teesta below and high green mountains on both sides. Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary which is situated between Mahananda and Teesta Rivers is another prominent attraction of this place which is visited by scores of tourists who come here from several parts of the globe. The lush green undulating hills of this region is famous for its exotic collections of flora, fauna and avifauna.

By Air: The nearest airport to Siliguri is Bagdogra which is 15 km from Siliguri. Daily flights from major airports of India connect this place from rest of the country.

By Rail: New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station which is just 4 km from Siliguri. Direct trains from Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbaiu, Chennai and Bangalore are available to New Jalpaiguri.

By Road: One can also reach by bus. There are several luxury coaches running from Kolkata, Gangtok and other nearby cities of north eastern states.
