  • The rajputana Sheraton at Jaipur and the Jaypee Palace were excellent but The Park in Delhi, wasn't in the same level, the public spaces like corridor were dirty.
Excellent experience guided and suggested by an excellent tour conductor. Thanks a lot.

Eden Garden is the oldest cricket ground in India and is also considered one of the finest in the world. This cricket stadium was built in 1840 and named after the sister of Lord Auckland the former governor-general of India. The garden is lined up with beautiful trees and shrubs which are crisscrossed by winding paths. The large artificial lake in the premises heightens the charm of the place. Adjacent the lake is the Pagoda which was brought to Kolkata from Burma after the British defeated the Burmese in the war of 1884.

The first ever match that took place in the Eden Gardens was in 1917-18 and the first test match which was played here was in January 1934 against Douglas Jardine's MCC. It was in February 1987 when the first ODI match was hosted in this stadium.

Eden Gardens is among the most exclusive gardens in India. The excitement of Cricket match is doubled by the ethereal beauty of nature that scattered around the stadium premises. This stadium had gone under massive renovations and beautification which increases its charm and accommodation capacity to about 1, 20,000 people.

This stadium is among the popular tourist attractions of Kokatta where tourists come to spend their morning and evening amidst green environment.
