The Fort of Mandawa Havelis Mandawa

Mandawa, a rustic town located in the Sekhawati region of Rajasthan is popularly known as the 'Open-air gallery' of Rajasthan. A local Rajput warrior named Thakur Nawal Singh established this town in the year 1755. Formerly a prosperous trading town, Mandawa is now famous for its beautiful havelis and mansions with their elaborately painted walls and frescoes. Today Mandawa has a flourishing handicrafts and furniture industry whose products have gained worldwide appreciation. The best time to travel to Mandawa is during the winters (October to March).

The Fort of Mandawa

This grand fort is located in the heart of the town of Mandawa. A number of beautiful paintings adorn the rooms of this fort, which has now been converted into a heritage hotel. Havelis

These havelis are famous for their wall paintings, frescoes and beautiful carvings.
