Kasauli Kasauli Beauty Monkey Point, Kasauli

Breathtaking mountain beauty, peaceful environment, picturesque gardens and orchards; enchanting is just the word that can describe Kasauli Himachal Pradesh. This popular hill station of Himachal Pradesh captures every heart with the majestic snow-capped mountains. A trip to Kasauli is full of pristine natural beauty to take back home and feel completely refreshed. Kasauli Hill Station, 77 km from Shimla, is full of dense forests that are home to beautiful and colourful birds. Perched at an altitude of 6,400 ft above sea level, Kasauli Tourism beckons one with rejuvenating holidays that compels them to come back again and again.

As per legend, the hill station of Kasauli was created by the feet of Lord Hanuman. While on his journey to Sanjeevani Hill, to get herb for Laxman (Lord Ram’s brother); he placed his feet here. Later in 17th century, Rajputs from Rewari Haryana settled in a town that they named Kasul. Some people say, Kasauli got its name from the mountain stream Kausalya that flows near this hill station. As time went by, the region became a part of the Gurkha expansion and later was turned into a sanatorium and cantonment in 1842.
