Lies in the southern region of Mizoram, Palak Lake includes various species of fish like Mahseer and Trout and crabs. Rungdil and Rengdil Lakes in the Aizwal District are the other popular lakes for angling.
Trekking
Mizoram has a number of trekking opportunities in the lush green forests and beautiful valleys that include Champai and Luglei Town. Phawangpui Peak in Mizoram also serves as the ideal spot for trekkers. Tourists opting for trekking should have the comfortable sneakers and bottled water as they are necessary.
Boating

Mountaineering
The most famous peak is the Blue Mountain where mountaineering can be enjoyed. Other popular climbing areas in Mizoram are Thalazaung Khamm, Mount Mawma and Mount Kahrie. In the south of Aizwal, The Durtlang Hills are the high ridges that are dotted by small villages. You can enjoy mountaineering between the months of September and October when the climate is moderate here.
Camping
The virgin forests of Mizoram offers great opportunities for camping. Also known as the Blue Mountain, Phawangpui Peak is the perfect spot for camping. Set amidst the lush green forests Tamdil Lake in Aizwal is a good camping place. There is the facility for hiring camping gears as well. You can enjoy campfire with the scrumptious meals prepared by the campers itself.
Caving
Tourists can also explore the legends related to the caves of Mizoram. The popular caves are Pukzing and Lamsial caves in the Aizwal district, Kungawrhi Puk Cave in the south east region and Milu Puk cave in the Lunglei district. All these caves have interesting stories containing the relics of the past.
