Ujjayanta Palace
Built in the 19th century by Radhakishore Manikya Bahadur, this palace is a wonderful blend of Mughal and Indo Greek architectural styles. The palace is surrounded by manicured gardens with pools and fountains. This three storied structure has majestically decorated interiors.
Neermahal Palace
Ideally located amidst Rudra Sagar lake, Neermahal palace reflects the beauty of Hindu and Mughal styles of architecture. This extremely beautiful castle is divided into two sections: one on the western side is known as Andar Mahal (inhabited by the royal family) and the other one on the eastern side is inhabited by the security personnels and servants. You can also enjoy light and sound show at the palace. There is a museum in the palace where royal belongings of the erstwhile rulers are on display.
Tripura Government Museum
Established in Agartala in the year 1970, this museum showcases the rich heritage of Tripura in the form of various arts and crafts. Some of the displayed items are? coins(gold,silver and copper), sculptures, terracotta, copper inscriptions, bronze images, oil paintings, sketches and drawings and jewelery.
Art and Handicrafts
Tripura is famous for its wonderful and fine handicrafts. Most of the handicrafts available her are made from cane and bamboo. The tribes of the state are perfect in making amazing handicrafts out of these natural raw materials. Some of the other items available in the markets are? jewelery, furniture of cane, lamps, bamboo dining table and floor mats and ornamental articles.
