Kodachadri

Declared as a natural heritage site, Kodachadri mountain peak is considered as a biodiversity hotspot. The peak of Kodachadri is situated in the middle of the Mookambika National Park and home to several endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna such as Malabar grey hornbill, Malabar langur and Malabar pied hornbill. Kodachadri is a quiet and peaceful place, surrounded by gorgeous landscape, including dense forests, waterfalls and lush green Western Ghats. Wildlife enthusiasts will be impressed by the diverse flora and fauna at the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary. Other must-visit attractions here include the Sarvajna Peeth temple, Arasinagundi falls, Belakallu theertha waterfalls, and 18th century Nagara Fort.
